Consultation Code Seminars

Medicare no longer pays for the CPT consultation codes (ranges 99241-99245 and 99251-99255), as of Jan. 1, 2010. National Government Services is offering four seminars in March to help providers understand the changes in Medicare coding and payment for consultation services. Providers of all specialties should plan on attending one of these sessions.

 

During this informative two hour session Certified Professional Coders from our Provider Outreach and Education staff will explain the significant impact to your practice and provide a number of educational resources to assist you with complying with these new requirements.

  • Explain consultation coding changes effective January 1, 2010
  • Provide examples of the appropriate use of the new AI modifier
  • Discuss the importance of documentation requirements
  • Provide guidance for primary and secondary payers for consultation services

The presentation will be the same for all sessions so it is only necessary to register for one session. Registration is now available and required.
